About Dau Go Cave
Dau Go — the "Cave of Wooden Stakes" — carries a thread of Vietnamese history: legend holds that General Tran Hung Dao stored sharpened ironwood poles here before repelling an invading fleet on the Bach Dang River.
Today it is admired for its scale and its softly coloured columns, reached by a stone stairway that frames a fine view across the harbour.
“A historic cavern of weathered stalactites named for the wooden stakes once hidden here before a famous naval battle.”
