Timing matters more than the list
Most day boats reach the bay around 11:00 and leave by 15:30, which is exactly when the popular caves are busiest. Boats that depart harbour promptly arrive ahead of that window; boats that leave late arrive inside it.
By late afternoon, once the day boats have gone, even the central bay empties out considerably. That single fact is the strongest argument for staying a night rather than visiting on a day trip.
