Pick up at your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter at 8:30 (surcharge applied). Assemble at Tuan Chau Port’s Orchid exclusive lounge at 11.30. Be welcomed on board by the cruise team with welcome drinks and safety instructions. Lunch is served at 13:00.
- Afternoon
The ship then sets off for Lan Ha Bay journey with the first anchor at Ao Ech Area (Frog Pond Area) - a peaceful area ideal for kayaking and discovering the untouched beauty of Lan Ha Bay. Back to the vessel to relax on the outdoor pool with some cocktails in Happy Hour or join a cooking demonstration with the cruise chef.
- Evening
A sumptuous dinner is served with freshest ingredients and sophisticated presentation. After the luxury dinner time comes night activities such as movie watching, squid fishing, and partying.
- Morning
Early risers can enjoy the spectacular beauty of Halong Bay in the early morning and take part in Tai Chi class. After breakfast, visit Thien Cung Cave (Heavenly Palace Cave), famous for its impressive chambers and spectacular stalactite formations. Back on Orchid Cruise for check-out scheduled from 9:45 - 10:00 am. A delightful brunch will be catered. Around 11:30 am, the cruise returns to Tuan Chau Marina, tourists disembark and say goodbye to the cruise.
Important Notes
- Programs & schedules are subject to change without prior notice depending on weather and tide conditions.
- Trip cancellation due to bad weather in Halong Bay: the decision is made by the Halong Bay Management Board on the day of departure.
- In the event of a weather cancellation we will arrange an alternative date on request, or refund in accordance with the cruise policy.
- Passengers should arrive at the harbour at least 30 minutes before the overnight cruise boarding time.

- The FOC rate for children under 4 years old is applicable for 1 (one) child sharing a cabin with 2 (two) adults. Only 1 (one) child under 4 years old traveling with two (2) adults is allowed for FOC per cabin.
- Children from 4-11 will pay extra charge 75% of adult rate.
- Children 12 and above must pay full fare as adult.
- Peak season surcharge : Surcharge $50/person for Gala dinner applies if guests stay on board on December 24th and/or December 31st and Lunar New Year (16, 17, 18, 19/02/2026)
- Shuttle bus: $40/ adult and $30/ child round trip. Pick up point: at hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter or in front of Hanoi Opera House
- On the second day you will travel on day boat and do not have access to mother boat and your cabin until later in the afternoon.
- More than 30 days prior to check-in: free of charge
- From 30 to 11 days prior to check-in: 15% of total rates
- From 10 to 7 days prior to check in: 30% of total rates.
- Less than 7 days prior to check-in: 100% of total rates.
- No-Show: 100% of total rates.
- Cancellation notice must be in written form and send to us via email. Refund will be processed between 5-7 business days.

Actually such occurrences are rare, as Halong Bay is typically calm and sheltered by its many mountains. In the event of storms or monsoons with strong winds, the Halong Bay Board Management suspends all tours for safety. The recent incident was due to a sudden thunderstorm that unexpectedly happened. Dear Dylan, You can rent out the entire boat for 5 days but the boat can go around Lan Ha Bay only and visit some places such as Dark/Bright cave, Tra Bau area, Ba Trai Dao island, Viet Hai village and Trung Trang cave on Cat Ba island.
