Picked up at your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter (if you book our transfer). Emperor Cruise departs from Lot 28, Tuan Chau Marina which is around 2.5 hours from Hanoi.
- Noon
Cruise staff welcomes you on board before you check in the cabin. A lunch set menu with Vietnamese traditional cuisine is served in Can Chanh Palace Restaurant while the boat cruises to Halong Bay.
- Afternoon
The first excursion is Me Cung Cave - the ancient cave with stalactites and stalagmites, and vestiges of prehistoric man dating back 10,000 years ago. Then, the tender takes you to Tung Sau Area for kayaking. Back to the vessel, time for afternoon tea with canapes and an interesting Vietnamese traditional cooking class on sundeck while waiting for the sun to set.
- Evening
A-la-carte dinner is served at Royal Palace Restaurant. Freetime at night with activities such as squid fishing, relaxing on sundeck with cocktails, or booking a spa at reception.
- Morning
Dawn-hunters may try Vovinam class to start a new day. Light breakfast with tea, coffee, and pastries is ready from 6:45 to 7:15 am. The vessel heads over to Luon Cave. Guests will leisurely sit on a bamboo boat rowed by a local and admire the tranquil scenery of the area.
- 9:00 am
Check-out time is from 9:00 to 9:15 am. Enjoy an A-la-carte brunch at Can Chanh Restaurant on the 1st deck while cruising back to the harbor. Arrive at Tuan Chau Marina at around 11:00. Trip ends.
Important Notes
- Programs & schedules are subject to change without prior notice depending on weather and tide conditions.
- Trip cancellation due to bad weather in Halong Bay: the decision is made by the Halong Bay Management Board on the day of departure.
- In the event of a weather cancellation we will arrange an alternative date on request, or refund in accordance with the cruise policy.
- Passengers should arrive at the harbour at least 30 minutes before the overnight cruise boarding time.

- The FOC rate for children under 4 years old is applicable for 1 (one) child sharing a cabin with 2 (two) adults. Only 1 (one) child under 4 years old traveling with two (2) adults is allowed for FOC per cabin.

- Children 12 and above must pay full fare as adult.
- Peak Season Surcharge: Surcharge $80/adult and $40/child for December 24th, December 31st
- Vietnam Holiday Surchage Vietnam Holiday Surcharge: Surcharge of $50/adult and $25/child for travel during Lunar New Year (16, 17, 18, 19/02/2026)

On this website, one of the inclusions is free airport pickup. What is the pick up time if I get a transfer from the airport. Is the flight that lands into Hanoi at 0700am enough time to get to Ha Long Bay? And will I have a transfer back to Hanoi after the cruise?

Dear Thuy Trang, I wish to advise you that our complimentary airport pickup is for the route from Noi bai - Hanoi century or vice versa. If you land at Noi bai at 7.00 Am in the morning, I am afraid that you will need to go directly from Noi Bai - Halong bay to catch the cruise on time. Kind regards, Phoebe

One of the responses in the Q&A indicates that the cruise is All Inclusive (including drinks). However, in the 'Exclusions' section, it indicates that drinks are excluded. Can you please confirm what the policy is for drinks?

Hi. I'm looking for a 2-night cruise that I can join in activities I like and skip one if I don't like. Does this cruise make sure that I won't leave the boat a full day?

Dear Katarina, For all cruises, you can choose to join activities you like and skip the one you don't like. However, most Halong Bay cruises will use another boat (small day boat/speed boat) on the second day to take you to further areas of the bay and you will only come back in the afternoon. If you want to just relax on the main boat and have access to your room, you can skip the excursions on the second day but the itinerary will be repeated. Dear Juna Kim, The cruise starts at 12:00 pm and you need to be at the cruise pier at 11:30 for check-in. So if you can leave the airport no later than 9:00 am for the transfer, you can make the trip. The cost for a private car from Noi Bai Airport to Halong is US$110/car/way for 2 persons.
